Our Classes
- Core: Core classes are provided for all students from prep to year 12, in this class we focus purely on clearing concepts as it is an essential and building block for excellence. We take this class as an opportunity to bridge students understanding, to get them to their standard year level.
- Regular: Our regular classes run from prep to year 1, regular class works a year ahead of the students current year at school. This allows them to excel in their studies and explore the next year levels content with the assurance of going to school with confidence in their academics.
- Competition house: Competition House gives students an opportunity to sit tests nationally and internationally. These competitions get students thinking differently to the usually concepts expanding their knowledge in various subjects.

Core Classes

When learning a new concept, it is essential that students fully grasp the topic as it will be one of the building blocks to harder problems in further years.
Learning and perfecting concepts is to extract the information a student has learnt, further using the same information to understand tougher concepts. And this is Excel Academy’s Core Classes are all about!
We conduct this class for all year levels from prep to year 12, we start by examining the student to evaluate whether this class is the right fit for them. If the student is able to we try to ignore the year level that they currently study in at school trying to pin point where exactly these gaps in their learning have formed bringing them back to the years concept building them on from there.
This class is also great for any child that is a slightly slower learner or needs a more personalised learning technique.
Regular Classes

Regular Class is a smooth, solid running class which focuses on the students year plus a year ahead of their currents curriculum.
This program better helps students understand either before their teacher at school teaches them or after to consolidate their knowledge with one of your teachers.
Students usually in this class often take part in our ongoing national and international competitions.
Regular Classes run for students in primary and secondary school, for the following subjects; Math, English, Science, humanities, Hindi

Competition House is a class which expands and challenges each child’s individual thinking process. It allows them to adapt to quicker ways of calculating questions, while gaining tips and tricks along the way to ensure that students are best prepared for whatever exam is thrown at them.
This class sectioned to be an intense class with passionate teachers that love seeking the next new master mind.
Students take part in National and International Competitions world wide with various test types such as; AMC, SOF Olympiad, SST, SEAL, APSMO etc.
Competition House Classes are ran throughout the year, from year 1 to VCE
Science
Does your child love to explore science? We have an engaging science program that leaves students hooked with their curiosity and love of learning. Science classes start from year 2 letting our mini scientists explore till their heart’s content.
REGULAR CLASS
Regular science classes- for primary school students we focus on exploring different aspects of science to create interest in young minds. Secondary School science is more theory based focusing mainly on the topics needed to be completed at school.
COMPETITION HOUSE
Competition house science often tests the students’ knowledge on various science-based topics. We train the students in a way that they quickly memorise the content, as well as still enjoying their love for science.
Mathematics
Want qualified, engaging and a passion for teaching derived maths teachers? Well, you made it to the right place. As we all know mathematics is one of the most important aspects of academics which many students either struggle in or enjoy a challenge. At excel we support students at every part of their learning.
REGULAR CLASS MATH
Our math program runs from prep to year 12, covering all the needed components of your child’s current year level as well as a level higher assuring that your child feels confident in their abilities eager to learn more.
CORE CLASS MATH
Core Class Math focuses on certain aspects your child may be struggling in, consolidating the missed section gradually adding up building blocks to get them to the level they are expected to be at.
COMPETITION HOUSE MATH
Competition House Math classes cover all extended math content needed for the challenging questions, covering national and international curriculum. Providing students opportunity to participate in ongoing competition e.g. Selective School preparation, SOF, ICAS, AMC, etc.
English
Highly experienced and dedicated English teachers are available at Excel Academy! English doesn’t always have to be hard and exhausting, we make sure that all our students understand how interesting English can be. Our dedicated teachers ensure that students explore their creativity through the art of Writing and Reading from prep all through to year 12.
CORE AND REGULAR CLASS
Core English classes focus on the small gaps that make the biggest differences in your child’s English performance, these include; Spelling, Grammar, Reading and Structure.
Constant feedback and regular testing are given throughout to make sure you and your child see active improvements. Core Class English and Regular Class English work in the same format as each other, however they are based on different levels.
COMPETITION HOUSE
Competition House English classes concentrate on exam taking skills, making sure students are well prepared before the exam day. Providing students opportunity to participate in ongoing competition e.g. Selective School preparation, SOF, ICAS, AMC, etc.
General Ability
CORE AND REGULAR CLASS
General ability begins from year 2 expanding students’ knowledge in the areas of problem solving, which is one of the key aspects of their academics. We divide General Ability into two sections; Verbal Reasoning, Numerical Reasoning, Non Verbal Reasoning and Aptitude. Students start from a young age getting used to such problems that are different to their normal questions.
COMPETITION HOUSE
Competition House General Ability is mostly aimed at Selective School Entry tests, for year 7, year 9 and year 10 John Monash Science School Entry. These questions are tailored to make students aware of what will be coming on their test preparing them from the start.
Hindi Languages
Have a passion for learning new languages? Learn from our qualified teachers, whether you’re a young student or adult, whether you want to only learn how to read or write or both, we have the time and dedication you need to learn a language.
CHILDREN
In Hindi our teachers slowly teach the language with the right principals and dedication to allow your child to grasp reading, writing and the understanding.
ADULTS
Adults learn from the basics as the children ensuring all that after each class they have learnt something new in any field of the language.
Understanding the game of numbers and logic to solve real world problems. Learn mathematics from scholars and university toppers who not make it interesting, but also fun to learn.
